Shaun Vanderkaap
Originally from Australia but having spent over 10 years in the US across a variety of business development roles,
Shaun specializes in payments & fintech. His skills include launching new regions, building go to market strategies, teams and playbooks.
During his 10 year career in the US, his experiences include:
- Selling directly to US SMBs
- Launching an integrated partnership offering for a 400 person global FX company
- Launching and expanded a new region for a pre-IPO global payments company. Saw that company grow from 700 people to 2500 people during the IPO process which was one of Europes biggest IPOs
- Landed large, multi million dollar enterprise payments deals (strategic, long duration selling)
- Served as the Head of Commercial for a Seed, then Series A startup in the US. Took company from 0 to 1. Built out entire go to Market team and function and helped grow the company from pre-MVP to paying clients
Shaun holds a MBA from Deakin along with Bachelor Applied Finance & Bachelor Marketing from UniSA.
